T AND L Home Health Care, LLC personal care attendant services program is a Medicaid based program that enables a person with a disability to live independently in their own home. CDS Participants are trained to hire their own attendants to assist them with daily tasks. These tasks may include:
· Bathing/showering
· Toileting
· Obtaining medication/run errands
· Meal preparation and cleanup
· Housekeeping/laundry
Through this program, seniors and people with disabilities are able to arrange and receive attendant services they need to live safely and independently in the privacy of their own homes. CDS Participants may choose to have care provided by family members or friends over the age of 18 with the exception of a spouse. CDS Participants are responsible for hiring, managing and setting work schedules for their Personal Care Attendant. To qualify for this program, a CDS Program Participant must be:
· Medical eligible (Mo Health Net eligible)
· 18 years of age or older
· Able to direct their own care
· Physically disabled
· Capable of living independently with the help of an attendant
Personal Care Attendants (PCA) must pass a criminal background check through the Missouri State Family Care Safety Registry.
